Rotary International now requires all clubs to consciously tell the local community about our local club - and to tell the world about Rotary. Rotary has launched a global campaign to ensure that we present a united image to the world. The more clubs that join in, the further our message carries. That's why we now use the logo above to identify our club. This Rotary year we have also a member of the board of Rotary Club of North Hobart who is the Director of Public Image. Past President Jenny Kerrison has been editing out club's bulletin and managing the Facebook page for several years and she is now in charge of all our marketing. Thank you, Jenny. With the support of the board, we have organised two banners to identify our club during our meetings and when we are working at certain events in the community. We share only "teasers" so far as they will be launched in a few weeks, when they arrive. We acknowledge with gratitude the permission of copyright State Cinema owner John Kelly, who allowed us to use their image of the North Hobart streetscape on our website, Facebook page and pull-up banner. We have 227 people who follow our Rotary Club of North Hobart Facebook page at the moment. Please LIKE the page yourself and SHARE it with your friends and family if you are on Facebook.
Our posts on Facebook are a mix of North Hobart news, news of Rotarians in our club and especially updates of projects our club has been involved with, so people are aware of the impact of our Rotary service. We are #peopleofaction and we take action to inspire, empower, transform and save lives. In the future, we hope to have Rotary Club of North Hobart mentioned in the newspaper and on the radio airwaves. In the meantime, our best PR is word of mouth, so please do your part to share what is happening at Rotary by telling your friends. Do you have ideas for improving our public image? Please let us have them.
